エウパトリウム・ヒッソピフォリウム [Index] [Back] 北アメリカの中・東部、マサチューセッツ州からフロリダ州、そしてテキサス州に分布しています。乾燥した野原に生え、高さは６０センチほどになります。葉は線状披針形で葉柄がなく、対生します。花は白色で、中心花だけで舌状花はなく、８月から９月に咲きます。全草が、は虫類や昆虫に咬まれたときの塗り薬として利用されています。 キク科ヒヨドリバナ属の常緑小低木で、学名は Eupatorium hyssopifolium。英名は Hyssopleaf thoroughwort。 Hyssopleaf thoroughwort (Eupatorium hyssopifolium) belongs to Asteraceae (the Aster family). It is an evergreen shrub that is native to central and eastern North America; from Massachusetts to Florida and Texas. This shrub grows in dry fields, and it can reach about 60 cm in height. The leavese are linear-lanceolate, sessile and arranged in opposite. The flowers are white, with disc florets and no ray florets, and bloom from August to September.
