リンドウ科リンドウ属の多年草で、学名は Gentiana triflora var. montana。英名はありません。
The "Ezo-oyama-rindou" (Gentiana triflora var. mantana) belongs to Gentianaceae (the Gentian family). It is a perennial herb that is native from Chubu district of Honshu north to Hokkaido, the Kril Islands and Sakhalin. It is an alpine variety of the "Ezo-rindou" (Gentiana triflora var. japonica). This herb grows in sub-alpine to alpine grasslands and screes, and it can reach 10-40 cm in height. The leaves are narrow ovate, entire and arrnaged in opposite. The dark blue-purple flowers bloom atop of stems from July to September. The corolla is tubular, quintuple-lobate shallowly at the tips and does not fully open when getting the sun.
