リンドウ科リンドウ属の多年草で、学名は Gentiana triflora var. japonica。英名はありません。
The "Ezo-rindou" (Gentiana triflora var. japonica) belongs to Gentianaceae (the Gentian family). It is a perennial herb that is native from Kinki district of Honshu north to Hokkaido, the Kril Islands and Sakhalin. This herb grows in montane grasslands and it can reach 20-90 cm in height. The leaves are lanceolate, entire and arrnaged in opposite. The blue-purple, 3-5 cm long, flowers bloom atop of stems and axils from September to November. The corolla is tubular, quintuple-lobate shallowly at the tips and does not fully open when getting the sun.
