わが国の本州、近畿地方の伊吹山周辺に分布しています。半寄生植物で日当たりの良い草原に生え、高さは１０〜２０センチになります。葉は卵形から円形で、縁には２〜４対の鈍鋸歯があります。８月から９月ごろ、上部の葉腋に白色の唇形花を咲かせます。下唇は幅広くて３裂し、オレンジ色の斑があります。

ゴマノハグサ科コゴメグサ属の一年草で、学名は Euphrasia insigna ssp. iinumai var. iinumai。英名はありません。

"Ibuki-kogome-gusa" (Euphrasia insigna ssp. iinumai var. iinumai) belongs to Scrophulariaceae (the Figwort family). It is an annual herb that is distributed around Mt. Ibuki in the Kinki regions of Honshu, Japan. It is a semiparasitic plant that grows in sunny meadows and grows 10 to 20 cm tall. The leaves are ovate to circular with two to four pairs of blunt serrations on the margins. It produces white labiate flowers in the upper leaf axils from August to September. The lower lip is broad and three lobed with orange spots.
