いんこアナナス (鸚哥アナナス) [Index] [Back] ブラジルの南東部が原産です。湿潤熱帯バイオームに生え、樹木に着生して、高さは２０〜４０センチになります。葉は薄くて幅広い披針形で、ロゼット状につきます。水は根から吸うのではなく、この葉の基部に溜まった水を吸収しています。葉のロゼットから花茎をのばし、先端に黄色とローズ色の花苞をだします。この花苞の間から、黄色い花を咲かせます。 パイナップル科インコアナナス属の常緑多年草で、学名は Vriesea carinata。英名は Painted feather。 The Painted feather (Vriesea carinata) belongs to Bromeliaceae (the Pineapple family). It is an evergreen perennial that is native to southeastern Brazil. It grows in humid tropical biomes, attached to trees, and is 20-40 cm tall. The leaves are thin, broadly lanceolate, and attached in rosettes. Water is absorbed from the base of these leaves rather than from the roots. From the leaf rosette grows a flower scape with yellow and rose-colored flower bracts at the tip.
