いそまつ (磯松) [Index] [Back] わが国の伊豆諸島や小笠原諸島、南西諸島それに台湾に分布しています。石灰岩の岩礁帯に生え、高さは１０〜３０センチになります。葉はへら形で先端は丸く、全縁、ロゼット状につきます。８月から１１月ごろ、花茎を伸ばして円錐花序をだし、ピンク色から紅紫色の花を咲かせます。花冠は筒状で、５裂します。台湾華語では「烏芙蓉」と呼ばれます。  イソマツ科イソマツ属の小低木で、学名は Limonium wrightii var. arbusculum (syn. Limonium wrightii f. arbusculum)。英名はありません。  The "Isomatsu" (Limonium wrightii var. arbusculum) belongs to Plumbaginaceae (the Plumbago family). It is a shrub that is native to the Izu Islands, the Ogasawara Isands, the Amami Island and the Ryukyu Islands, as well as Taiwan. This shrub grows on limestone rocky shore, and it can reach 10-30 cm in height. The leaves are spatulate, entire with round tips, and arranged in rosette. The flowering stalks are borne and the pink to magenta flowers bloom in the panicles from August to November. The corolla is tubular and five partite.
