イワウメ科イワカガミ属の常緑多年草で、学名は Schizocodon soldanelloides (syn. Schizocodon soldanelloides var. soldanelloides)。英名はありません。
The "Iwa-kagami" (Schizocodon soldanelloides) belongs to the family Diapensiaceae. It is an evergreen herb that is native throughout Japan. This herb grows in montane to alpine grasslands and rockey places, and can reach about 15 cm in height. The leaves are round and glossy with long petioles. The racemes are borne on the flowering stalks and bloom 2-10, pale rose-pink flowers from April to July. The corolla is funnel-shaped, five partite with fine-divided tips.
