わが国の各地に分布しています。山地帯から高山帯の草地や岩場に生え、高さは１５センチほどになります。葉は円形で長い葉柄があり、表面には光沢があります。４月から７月ごろ、花茎を伸ばして総状花序をつけ、淡紅色の花を２〜１０個咲かせます。花冠は漏斗形で５裂し、先端が細かく裂けています。 |

イワウメ科イワカガミ属の常緑多年草で、学名は Schizocodon soldanelloides (syn. Schizocodon soldanelloides var. soldanelloides)。英名はありません。 |

The "Iwa-kagami" (Schizocodon soldanelloides) belongs to the family Diapensiaceae. It is an evergreen herb that is native throughout Japan. This herb grows in montane to alpine grasslands and rockey places, and can reach about 15 cm in height. The leaves are round and glossy with long petioles. The racemes are borne on the flowering stalks and bloom 2-10, pale rose-pink flowers from April to July. The corolla is funnel-shaped, five partite with fine-divided tips. |
