いわざくら (岩桜)

わが国の本州、岐阜県と紀伊半島それに四国、九州に分布しています。石灰岩地帯の岩礫地や湿地に生え、高さは５〜１０センチほどになります。葉は円形で浅裂して鋸歯があり、根生します。４月から６月ごろ、花茎を伸ばして紅紫色の花を咲かせます。 |

サクラソウ科サクラソウ属の多年草で、学名は Primula tosaensis。英名はありません。 |

"Iwa-zakura" (Primula tosaensis) belongs to the Primulaceae (the Primrose family). It is a perennial herb that is distributed to the Kii Peninsula and Gifu Prefecture in Honshu, Shikoku and Kyushu. This herb grows in rocky gravels and wetlands in the limestone zone, and up to a height of 5-10 cm. The leaves are round, shallow lobed, serrated and basal. The flower stalks are borne and magenta flowers bloom from April to June. |
