わが国の本州、中部地方以北に分布しています。茎は叢生し、高さは１５〜４０センチほどになります。葉は長楕円形で、対生し、黒点だけがあります。７月から８月ごろ、黄色い花を咲かせます。花弁は大きく歪んだ倒卵形です。

オトギリソウ科オトギリソウ属の多年草で、学名は Hypericum erectum var. longistylum。英名はありません。

"Okuyama-otogiri" (Hypericum erectum var. longistylum) belongs to the family Clusiaceae. It is a perennial herb that is distributed from Chubu region northward to northern Honshu in Japan. The stems grow in clusters and are 15 to 40 cm tall. Leaves are oblong-elliptic, opposite, with only a black spot. It produces yellow flowers from July to August. The petals are large and distorted and obovate.
