おくうすぎたんぽぽ (奥薄黄蒲公英) [Index] [Back] わが国の本州、東北地方南部に分布しています。草地や林縁に生え、高さは１０〜２０センチになります。４月から５月ごろ、薄黄色で直径４センチほどの頭花を咲かせます。「しろばなたんぽぽ（白花蒲公英）」に似ていていますが、頭花の中心の黄色の部分は広いです。総苞外片は広卵形で反り返らず、角状突起は極めて小さくほとんど目立ちません。他の白系たんぽぽと同じく倍数体であるため、単為生殖を行います。本種は５倍体です。別名で「なんぶしろたんぽぽ（南部白蒲公英）」と呼ばれます。  キク科タンポポ属の多年草で、学名は Taraxacum denudatum。英名はありません。  "Oku-usugi-tanpopo" belongs to Asteraceae (the Aster family). It is a perennial herb that is distributed in the southern part of the Tohoku region of Honshu in Japan. This herb grows on grasslands and forest edges and can reach 10 to 20 cm in height. The flower heads are pale yellow, about 4 cm in diameter, and bloom from April to May. It is similar to "Sirobana-tanpopo" (Taraxacum albidum), but the yellow part in the center of the flower head is wide. The outer involcal bracts are broad-ovate and do not warp, and the triangular projections are extremely small and barely noticeable. Since it is a polyploid like other white dandelions, it is parthenogenesis.
