わが国の各地をはじめ、極東ロシアやサハリンにも分布しています。川沿いなどの湿り気の多いところに生え、高さは７〜１０メートルになります。葉は奇数羽状複葉で、小葉は５〜９対つきます。５月から６月ごろ、葉の展開と同時に花を咲かせます。雌花序は枝先に直立し、雄花序は葉腋から下垂します。果実は堅果で、９月から１０月に熟して食用になります。 |

クルミ科クルミ属の落葉高木で、学名は Juglans mandshurica var. sachalinensis。英名はありません。 |

The "Oni-gurumi" (Juglans mandshurica var. sachalinensis) belongs to Juglandaceae (the Walnut family). It is a tall deciduous tree that is distributed in various parts of Japan, as well as in Far Eastern Russia and Sakhalin. This tree grows in waste places along streams and can reach 7-10 m in height. The leaves are odd-pinnate compound with 5-9 pairs of leaflets. The flowers come in May to June as soon as foliation. The female inflorescenses are erect on the branches and the male ones are drooping from the axiles. The fruits are edible nuts and ripen in September to October. |
