おにはまだいこん (鬼浜大根) [Index] [Back] ヨーロッパから北アメリカに分布しています。わが国では、１９８２年に新潟県で帰化が確認されました。砂浜に生え、高さは５０〜６０センチになります。茎は基部でよく分枝します。葉は長楕円形から倒卵形で互生し、全縁か波状に浅裂します。６月から８月ごろ、茎の上部に花序をだし、小さな白色から淡い紫色の花を咲かせます。果実は筆先のようなかたちで、８月から９月に熟します。 アブラナ科オニハマダイコン属の一年草で、学名は Cakile edentula。英名は Sea rocket、American searocket。 The Sea rocket (Cakile edentula) belongs to Brassicaceae (the Mustard family). It is an annual herb that is native to Europe and North America. It was confirmed to naturalize in Niigata prefecture in 1982. This herb gorws on gravelly beaches and can reach 50-60 cm in height. The stem is much branched at the base. The leaves are oblong to obovate, alternate and entire or wavy lobate. The clusters are borne on the upper stems and bloom small white to pale purple flowers from June to August. The fruits resemble to tip of a writing brush and ripen from August to September.
