わが国の北海道南部以南から本州、四国・九州、それに東アジアやインドに広く分布しています。海岸の崖や内陸の丘陵地帯に生え、高さは４０～６０センチになります。崖に生えるときは、葉は垂れ下がります。濃緑色の葉は厚く、側羽片は７～１８対あります。羽片の縁は波打ち、裏面には円形のソーラスが全体に広がります。包膜の中心は黒色です。台湾華語では「全縁貫衆蕨」と呼ばれます。 |

オシダ科ヤブソテツ属の常緑シダ植物で、学名は Cyrtomium falcatum (syn. Cyrtomium falcatum ssp. falcatum)。英名は Holly fern。 |

The Holly fern (Cyrtomium falcatum) belongs to the family Dryopteridaceae. It is an evergreen fern that is distributed southward from southern Hokkaido to Honshu, Shikoku, Kyushu of Japan, as well as East Asia and India. This fern grows on coastal cliffs or inland hillsides and can reach 40-60 cm in height. The stems are weeping on the cliffs. The leaves are thick and dark green with 7-18 pairs of pinnae. The pinnae have wavy edges and round sori evenly on the abaxial sides. The center of indusium is black. In Taiwanese Chinese, it is called "全縁貫衆蕨". |
