おおくさぼたん (大草牡丹) [Index] [Back] わが国の四国と九州に分布しています。石灰岩地の林縁に生え、高さは５０〜１００センチになります。茎は直立して、かなり上部まで木化します。葉は３出複葉で、大きな卵形の小葉がつきます。９月から１０月ごろ、茎頂や上部の葉腋に集散花序をだし、淡い紫色の筒状花を咲かせます。 キンポウゲ科センニンソウ属の落葉小低木で、学名は Clematis speciosa。英名はありません。 The "Oo-kusa-botan" (Clematis speciosa) belongs to Ranunculaceae (the Buttercup family). It is a deciduous shrub that is distributed in Shikoku and Kyushu. This shrub grows in the forest edges on a limestone ground and its height is 50-100 cm. The stems are upright and gets lignified to the fairly upper part. The leaves are trifoliate with large ovate leaflets.
