「ひめしゃじん（姫沙参）」の品種で、わが国の本州、群馬県の本白根山に分布しています。高山の岩場や砂礫地に生え、高さは１０〜４０センチになります。葉は披針形で互生します。７月から９月ごろ、総状花序をだし、釣り鐘形で青紫色の花を１〜１０個咲かせます。花冠は大きく、長さ３センチほどあります。花柱は、花冠と同じくらいかやや長いものです。また萼片は線形で、疎らに鋸歯があります。

キキョウ科ツリガネニンジン属の多年草で、学名は Adenophora nikoensis f. macrocalyx。英名はありません。

The "Oobanano-hime-shajin" (Adenophora nikoensis f. macrocalyx) belongs to Campanulaceae (the Bellflower family). It is a perennial herb thaty is endemic to Mt. Moto-shirane in Gunma prefecture of Honshu. It is a forme of "Hime-shajin". This herb grows in alpine rocky places or screes, and can reach 10-40 cm in height. The leaves are lanceolate and arranged alternately. The racemes are borne and the bell-shaped, 1-10, bluish peuple flowers bloom from July to September. The style is as long as the corolla or protrudes slightly from the corolla. The corolla is large and about 3 cm long. The sepals are linear and coarsely serrate.
