おおまるばのほろし (大丸葉の保呂之) [Index] [Back] わが国の本州、広島県以東から北海道、南千島それにサハリンに分布しています。林縁や湿地、河岸などに生え、高さは３０〜７０センチになります。葉は卵形から狭卵形で互生し、全縁です。７月から９月ごろ、集散花序をだし、淡い紫色の花を咲かせます。花冠は５深裂します。果実は液果で、赤色に熟し、有毒です。 ナス科ナス属の多年草で、学名は Solanum megacarpum。英名はありません。 "Oo-marubano-horoshi" (Solanum megacarpum) belongs to Solanaceae (the Nightshade family). It is a perennial herb that is distributed eastward from Hiroshima prefecture in Hoanshu to Hokkaido, the sothern Kuril Islands and Sakhalin. This herb grows in forest edges, marshes or streamsides, and can reach 30-70 cm in height. The leaves are ovate to narrow ovate, arranged oppositely with entire edges. The cymes are borne and the pale purple flowers bloom from July to September. The corolla is divided deeply into five lobes.
