The Bladderwort (Utricularia gibba) belongs to Lentibulariaceae (the Bladderwort family). It is a perennial herb that is distributed from Shizuoka Prefecture of Honshu, Japan to Southeast Asia, Australia, Africa, and the United States. It is found floating in the water or living on shallow water bottoms. The leaves are filamentous and have a few insect sacs. It is a small insectivorous plant. In summer, it grows flower stalks and produces yellow flowers.
