The stork's bill (Erodium cicutarium) belongs to Geraniaceae (the Geranium family). It is an annual or biennial herb that is native to Europe, Africa and West Asia, This herb grows in sandy dunes, grassland or roadsides and can reach 15-45 cm in height. The leaves are once to twice pinnatly compound, and the leaflets are finely divided into segments. The small, 5-petaled, lavender flowers come in February to May. The style grows to 5 cm long after blooming.
