The oregano 'Kent Beauty' (Origanum cv. Kent Beauty) belongs to Lamiaceae (the Mint family). It is an interspecific hybrid between Origanum rotundifolium and Origanum scabrum. This herb is bushy, trailing and can reach 15-25 cm in height. The stems are wiry and densely covered with small, ovate and glaucous leaves. Although the leaves are aromatic, they are not of the pungency and are usually not used in cooking. The flowers are small pink with pink bracts. They are hop-like and bloom from summer to fall, and also used in dried flower arrangements.
