It has naturalized in other tropical and subtropical regions and is considered a noxious weed and invasive species. It grows in fields, orchards, wastelands, and roadsides, and is 20 to 30 cm tall. It grows from small bulbs and spreads through stolons. The leaves are trifoliate, and the leaflets are obtriangular to obcordate. There is a petiole about 20 cm long. The pink flowers bloom almost all year round in umbels on stalks extending from the stem. The fruit is a cylindrical capsule.
