わが国の本州、中部地方から四国・九州に分布している「けねざさ（毛根笹）」の園芸品種です。高さは１．５メートルほどになり、葉の主脈の近くに白色または黄白色の条斑がはいります。 |

イネ科メダケ属の常緑タケ類で、学名は Pleioblastus fortunei cv. Tsuboii。英名はありません。 |

The "Ueda-zasa" belongs to Poaceae (the Grass family). It is an evergreen bumboo that is a horticultural variety of "Ke-nezasa", which is distributed from the Chubu region in Honsh to Shikoku, and Kyushu in Japan. It grows to about 1.5 m tall and has white or yellowish-white stripes near the main veins of its leaves. |
