ウェルバスクム・ヒブリドゥム [Index] [Back] ポルトガルからスペイン、フランス、イタリアそれにユーゴスラビアが原産です。ウェルバスクム・プルウェルレンツム（Verbascum pulverulentum）とウェルバスクム・シヌアツム（Verbascum sinuatum）との自然交配種です。乾燥した荒地や牧草地、道ばたなどに生え、高さは６０〜１２０センチになります。茎は直立します。葉は楕円形で毛が多く、根生します。６月から９月ごろ、茎頂の総状花序に、白色や赤銅色、ピンク色、ふじ色などの花を咲かせます。多くの園芸品種も作出されていて、写真は「サザンチャーム（cv. Southern Charm）」。  ゴマノハグサ科モウズイカ属の二年草で、学名は Verbascum x hybridum。英名は Hybrid mullein。  The Hybrid mullein (Verbascum x hybridum) belongs to Scrophulariaceae (the Figwort family). It is a biennial herb that is native to Portugal, Spain, France, Italy and Yugoslavia. It is a natural hybrid between the Verbascum pulverulentum and the Verbascum sinuatum. It grows in dry wastelands, meadows, and along roadsides, and is 60 to 120 cm tall. The stems are erect. From June to September, white, reddish-bronze, pink, or mauve flowers bloom in racemes at the top of the stem.
