The Babiana cedarbergensis belongs to Iridaceae (the Iris family). It is a perennial herb that is native to the Cape region of South Africa. The leaves are lanceolate with a midrib and are 10-18 cm long. In spring, it produces short flower stalks and produces fragrant, light purple flowers. The perianths have large white spots. |
