バウヒニア・メキシカーナ [Index] [Back] メキシコが原産です。幹はよく分岐し、高さは３〜６メートルになります。葉は鮮やかな緑色で、先端には裂け目があります。盛夏から降霜まで、白色の花を咲かせます。 マメ科ハカマカズラ属の落葉高木で、学名は Bauhinia mexicana。 英名は Mexican orchid tree。 Mexican orchid tree (Bauhinia mexicana) belongs to the Fabaceae (the Pea family). It is s small tree that is native to Mexico. This tree is a multi-trunked and can reach 3-6 m in height. The leaves are bright green and have a cleft at the tips.
