「げんぺいくさぎ（Clerodendrum thomsonae）」 と「べにばなくさぎ（Clerodendrum splendens）」を交配した種間交雑種です。「げんぺいくさぎ」に似ていますが､萼が淡紅色で、花冠は深紅色です｡

クマツヅラ科クサギ属の常緑低木で、学名は Clerodendrum x speciosum。英名は Java glory bean。
|
|
|
The Java glory bean (Clerodendrum x speciosum) belongs to Verbenaceae (the Verbena family). It is a small evergreen tree that is a interspecies hybrid between the glorybower (Clerodendrum thomsonae) and the flaming glorybower (Clerodendrum splendens). This vine resembles to the Glorybower, but its sepal is pink and the corolla is cardinal.
