わが国の本州、岩手・山形県以南から四国、九州それに台湾に分布しています。低山地の林内や道端などにふつうに生え、高さは５０〜１２０センチになります。小羽片は浅裂します。春の新芽は全体に紅紫色を帯び、若いときには、葉の裏面の胞子嚢もあざやかな紅紫色をしています。台湾華語では「紅蓋鱗毛蕨」と呼ばれます。 |

オシダ科オシダ属の常緑シダ植物で、学名は Dryopteris erythrosora。英名は Autumn fern。 |

The Autumn fern (Dryopteris erythrosora) belongs to the family Dryopteridaceae. It is an evergreen fern that is native from Iwate-Yamagata prefecture of Honshu to Shikoku and Kyushu in Japan, as well as Taiwan. This fern grows usually in low mountain forests and roadsides, and can reach 50-120 cm in height. The pinnae are lobed. The new shoots are tinged magenta in spring. The sori on the abaxial sides are also bright magenta when young. In Taiwanese Chinese, it is called "紅蓋鱗毛蕨" (red lid scale hairy bracken). |
