ビロードてんつき (天鵞絨点突) [Index] [Back] わが国の本州、関東地方以西から四国・九州、それに朝鮮半島や台湾、中国東部、東南アジア、オーストラリアに分布しています。海岸の砂地に生え、高さは１０〜３０センチになります。根茎は太くて短く、枯れた葉鞘に包まれます。葉は線形で叢生します。茎や葉は、白いビロード状の毛に被われます。８月から１０月ごろ、茎頂に３〜１５個の小穂をだし、目立たない花を咲かせます。 カヤツリグサ科テンツキ属の多年草で、学名は Fimbristylis sericea。英名はありません。 "Biroudo-tentsuki" (Fimbristylis sericea) belongs to Cyperaceae (the Sedge family). It is a perennial herb that is distributed westward from Kanto district of Honshu to Shikoku and Kyushu of Japan, the Korean Peninsula, Taiwan, eastern China, Southeast Asia and Australia. This herb grows in sandy soiles on the beaches and can reach 10-30 cm in height. The rhizomes are thick, short and covered with dead sheaths. The leaves are linear and clumping. The stems and leaves are covered with white velvety hairs. The 3-15 spikelets are borne on the stem apices and bloom inconspicuous flowers from August to October.
