「ぼけ（木瓜）」の園芸品種のひとつです。早春に、白色や紅赤色、白色に更紗絞りなどの花を咲かせます。ここの植物園では「とうようぼけ（東洋木瓜）」という種名札です。 |

バラ科ボケ属の落葉低木で、学名は Chaenomeles speciosa cv. Toyo-nishiki。英名はありません。 |

The Japanese quince 'Toyo-nishiki' belongs to Rosaceae (the Rose family). It is a small deciduous tree that is one of the horticultural varieties of "Japanese quince". It blooms in early spring with white, reddish-red, or white with a chintz pattern. In the botanical garden here, the species name tag is "Toyo-boke". |
