ぼうちとせらん (棒千歳蘭) [Index] [Back] アフリカのアンゴラが原産です。乾燥した場所に生え、地中に根茎を這わせて水平に広がり、高さは２メートルにもなります。葉は縞模様で細長く、滑らかで緑色がかった灰色の亜円筒形です。葉の直径は最大３センチです。ピンク色を帯びた３センチほどの緑白色の筒状花を咲かせます。以前はチトセラン属に属していましたが、現在ではリュウケツジュ属に含まれます。  リュウゼツラン科リュウケツジュ属の常緑小低木で、学名は Dracaena angolensis (syn. Sansevieria cylindrica)。英名は Cylindrical snake plant。  The Cylindrical snake plant (Dracaena angolensis) belongs to Agavaceae (the Agave family). It is an evergreen shrub that is native to Angola in Africa. It is grows in dry areas, spreading horizontally by creeping rhizomes under the ground and can reach up to 2 m in height. The leaves are striped, elongate, smooth, greenish-gray subcylindrical. They are up to 3 cm in diameter. The 3 cm greenish-white tubular flowers are tinged with pink.
