The Cylindrical snake plant (Dracaena angolensis) belongs to Agavaceae (the Agave family). It is an evergreen shrub that is native to Angola in Africa. It is grows in dry areas, spreading horizontally by creeping rhizomes under the ground and can reach up to 2 m in height. The leaves are striped, elongate, smooth, greenish-gray subcylindrical. They are up to 3 cm in diameter. The 3 cm greenish-white tubular flowers are tinged with pink. Formerly in the genus Sansevieria, it is now included in Dracaena.
