オーストラリアの東部に分布しています。海岸沿いの湿地や崖面に生え、高さは７０センチほどになります。根生葉や茎葉は、ほとんど狭い倒卵形またはやや線形で長さ２〜１６センチ、無毛または疎らな腺毛があります。１０月から５月ごろ、白色またはふじ色の頭花を咲かせます。果実は倒卵形から広倒卵形の痩果です。

キク科ブラキスコメ属の多年草で、学名は Brachyscome graminea (syn. Brachycome graminea)。英名は Grass daisy。

The Grass daisy (Brachyscome graminea) belongs to Asteraceae (the Aster family). It is a perennial herb that is native to eastern Australia. This herb grows in coastal marshes and cliff faces, and up to a height of about 70 cm. The basal and cauline leaves are mainly narrow-obovate or somewhat linear, 2-16 cm long, glabrous or with scattered glandular hairs. The white or mauve flower-heads bloom from October to May. The fruit is obovoid to broad-obovoid achenes.
