オーストラリアの東南部に分布しています。日当たりの良い潅木帯の草地や疎林に生え、高さは２０〜３０センチになります。葉は糸のような細い羽状複葉で、マット状に広がります。春から秋にかけて、ラベンダー色の花を咲かせます。多年草ですが、２年ほど経つとみすぼらしい草姿になってしまいます。

キク科ブラキスコメ属の多年草で、学名は Brachyscome multifida（syn. Brachycome multifida）。英名は Cut-leafed daisy。

The Cut-leafed daisy (Brachyscome multifida) belongs to Asteraceae (the Aster family). It is a perennial herb that is native to south-eastern Australia. This herb grows in sunny grassland in scrubs or open woods and can reach 20-30 cm in height. The leaves are filiform pinnate compound and spread on the ground. The lavender flowerheads come in spring to fall. Though it is a perennial, it turns a shabby appearance after two years of growth.
