オーストラリアの東部に分布しています。海岸地域と隣接する台地に生え、高さは６〜７メートルになります。葉は狭楕円形から狭披針形で、まっすぐかわずかに湾曲します。７月から１１月ごろ、葉腋に総状花序をだし、明るい黄色から淡黄色の花を咲かせます。花は直径３〜５ミリの球形の頭花です。果実は長さは３〜９．５センチの豆果です。

ネムノキ科アカシア属の常緑低木で、学名は Acacia fimbriata。英名は Brisbane wattle、Brisbane golden wattle。

The Brisbane wattle (Acacia fimbriata) belongs to Mimosaceae (the Mimosa family). It is a small evergreen tree that is distributed in the eastern part of Australia. It grows on coastal areas and adjacent plateaus, reaching a height of 6 to 7 m. It has narrowly elliptic to narrowly lanceolate leaves that are straight or slightly curved, and produces bright yellow to pale yellow flowers in racemes in the leaf axils from July to November. The flowers are spherical flower heads 3 to 5 mm in diameter. The fruit is a 3-9.5 cm long pea pod.
