ブルンスウィギア属は南アフリカに２０種ほどが分布しています。本種は、ケープ地方の北西部から南西部それにカルー地方の西部に分布しています。腐食質の多い砂礫地などに生えます。全体に鱗片状の軟毛に被われています。秋に花茎を伸ばして散形花序をだし、ピンク色の花を咲かせます。

About 20 species of Brunsvigia genus occur in South Africa. Brunsvigia striata is distributed in the northwest to the southwestern part of the Cape region and the western part of Karoo region. This herb grows in humic-rich gravel fields. The whole plant is covered with scaly vellus hair. The flower stalk is borne and bloom pink flowers in the umble around fall.
