The Angel's trumpet (Brugmansia versicolor) belongs to Solanaceae (the Nightshade family). It is a small evergreen tree that is native to western Ecuador in South America. However, since 2014, this species has been designated as "Extinct in the Wild" on the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Red List of Threatened Species. It grows to a height of 3 to 5 m. The leaves are elliptic or oblong, entire, and alternate. The flowers are the largest in the genus, measuring 30-50 cm in length. They initially bloom white and may change to pink or apricot colors or remain white. The fruit is slender and spindle-shaped, reaching approximately 20 cm in length, and reproduces via seeds.
