The Bulbophyllum mandibulare belongs to Orchidaceae (the Orchid family). It is an evergreen perennial herb that is distributed on the island of Borneo, Indonesia. It is an epiphyte that grows in riverine forests at altitudes of 300-2100 m in the states of Sarawak and Sabah. The pseudobulbs are elongated elliptical, with an oblong leaf. Twice a year, it produces large, fleshy flowers on elongated flower stalks. It is characterized by a node between the lip and the leg of column gynostemium, and by the movement of the lip.
