インドネシアのボルネオ島に分布しています。サラワク州とサバ州の標高３００〜２１００メートルの河川林に生える着生植物です。偽鱗茎は細長い楕円形で、長楕円形の葉がでます。年に２回、細長い花茎を伸ばし、大きく肉質の花を咲かせます。唇弁と蕊柱脚部の間に節があって、唇弁が動くのが特徴です。 |

The Bulbophyllum mandibulare belongs to Orchidaceae (the Orchid family). It is an evergreen perennial herb that is distributed on the island of Borneo, Indonesia. It is an epiphyte that grows in riverine forests at altitudes of 300-2100 m in the states of Sarawak and Sabah. The pseudobulbs are elongated elliptical, with an oblong leaf. Twice a year, it produces large, fleshy flowers on elongated flower stalks. It is characterized by a node between the lip and the leg of column gynostemium, and by the movement of the lip. |
