The Ferocactus nobilis belongs to Cactaceae (the Cactus family). It is a barrel cactus that is native to eastern Mexico. This cactus has 15 ribs. The central spine is solitary, brownish red, erect, 7 cm long, and recurved at the tip. The radial spines straight, widely spreading. The flowers are red with white margins.
