ふきゆきのした (蕗雪の下) [Index] [Back] わが国の固有種で、北海道から本州の日本海側、それに四国に分布しています。低山帯から亜高山帯の渓流沿いの岩場や砂礫地に生え、高さは１５〜８０センチになります。葉は円形で基部は心形、縁には不揃いの鋸歯があります。７月から８月ごろ、花茎の先に円錐花序をだし、小さな白色の花をまばらに咲かせます。和名は、葉が「ふき（蕗）」に似ているところから。 ユキノシタ科ユキノシタ属の多年草で、学名は Saxifraga japonica。英名はありません。 "Fuki-yukinoshita" (Saxifraga japonica) belongs to Saxifragaceae (the Saxifrage family). It is a perennial herb that is endemic to Japan, distributed from Hokkaido to the Japan Sea side of Honshu and Shikoku. This herb grows on montane to sub-alpine, streamside rocky places or screes, and can reach 15-80 cm in height. The leaves are round with cordate bases and irregular toothed edges.
