ふいりやぶらん (斑入り藪蘭)

わが国の本州、関東地方以西から四国・九州それに台湾や朝鮮半島、中国に分布する「やぶらん（藪蘭）」の園芸品種です。葉は線形から線状披針形の覆輪で「やぶらん」よりもやや幅広く、根もとに重なってつきます。８月から１０月ごろ、穂状花序をだし赤紫色の花を咲かせます。果実は蒴果で、その果皮は熟す前に落ち、黒紫色の種子がむき出しなって果実のように見えます。 |

ユリ科ヤブラン属の常緑多年草で、学名は Liriope platyphylla cv. Variegata。英名は Variegated lilyturf。 |

The variegated lilyturf (Liriope platyphylla cv. Variegata) belongs to Liliaceae (the Lily family). It is an evergreen perennial plant that is a gardening variety of the big blue lilytuft which is distrbuted to Kanto region of Honshu west to Shikoku, Kyushu, as well as Taiwan, the Korean Peninsula and China. The leaves are linear to linear-lanceolate, yellow marginal variegation, slightly wider than the big blue lilytuft and overlap with the root. It develops a spike and bloom magenta flowers from August to October. The fruit is seed capsule, its peel falls before ripening, black violet seeds are exposed and looks like fruits. |
