はがわりめだけ (葉変わり女竹) [Index] [Back] わが国の本州、福島・新潟県以西から四国、九州に分布する「めだけ（女竹）」の変種または園芸品種です。同一株にさまざまな幅や模様の異なる葉が混在する品種です。  イネ科メダケ属の常緑ササ類で、学名は Pleioblastus simonii var. heterophyllus (syn. Pleioblastus simonii cv. Heterophyllus)。英名はありません。  The "Hagawari-medake" (Pleioblastus simonii var. heterophyllus) belongs to Poaceae (the Grass family). It is an evergreen shrubby bamboo that is a variant or horticultural variety of the "Medake" species, which is distributed from Fukushima and Niigata prefectures of Honshu westward to Shikoku and Kyushu in Japan.
