はなごけ (花苔) [Index] [Back] わが国の各地をはじめ、北半球や南アメリカに広く分布しています。低地から高山までの地上や岩上に生え、高さは５〜１２センチになります。樹状地衣で、子柄は中空で直立し、灰白色から黄色を帯びた白色、不同長に繰り返し分枝します。本種はツンドラ地帯にも生え、冬期のトナカイの餌になっています。別名で「トナカイごけ（馴鹿苔）」とも呼ばれます。 ハナゴケ科ハナゴケ属の地衣植物で、学名は Cladonia rangiferina。英名は Graygreen reindeer lichen、Reindeer lichen。 The Graygreen reindeer lichen (Cladonia rangiferina) belongs to the family Cladoniaceae. It is a lichen that is widely distributed throughout Japan, as well as across the Northern Hemisphere and South America. It grows on the ground and on rocks from lowlands to high mountains, reaching a height of 5 to 12 cm. It is a tree-like lichen; its thallus is hollow and erect, ranging in color from grayish-white to yellowish-white, and branches repeatedly at varying lengths.
