The Calla-lily (Zantedeschia hybrid) belongs to Araceae (the Arum family). It is an evergreen perennial herb that is native to South Africa, it grows naturally in well-drained grasslands and rocky areas. There are several species, but they do not like excessive humidity or stagnant water. Among them, the main species are hybrids between "Yellow calla lily" (Zantedeschia elliottiana) and "Pink calla lily" (Zantedeschia rehmannii), which are called "Calla-lily", and are characterized by their abundant flower colors. Unlike the wetland type, it has a distinct growing and dormant season. It grows and flowers from spring to summer, and goes dormant after fall when its leaves wither. The shape of the leaves ranges from triangular to elongated, and the shape of the bracts ranges from elongated to broadly funnel-shaped. It is used in flower beds, potted plants, and as cut flowers.
