はなとりかぶと (花鳥兜)

中国が原産です。別名で「からとりかぶと（唐鳥兜）」とも呼ばれ、薬用の目的で導入されました。冷涼な気候を好みますが、野生の「とりかぶと」よりは高さが低く、秋に、舞楽の鳳凰をかたどった兜に似た花をたくさん咲かせます。園芸用に販売されていますが、暖地での栽培は、夏の暑さで難しそうです。 |

キンポウゲ科トリカブト属の多年草で、学名は Aconitum chinense。英名はありません。 |

"Hana-tori-kabuto" (Aconitum chinense) belongs to Ranunculaceae (the Buttercup family). It is a perennial herb that is native to China. It was introduced into Japan as a herbal medicine.
