はなとりかぶと (花鳥兜)

中国が原産です。別名で「からとりかぶと（唐鳥兜）」とも呼ばれ、薬用の目的で導入されました。冷涼な気候を好みますが、野生の「とりかぶと」よりは高さが低く、秋に、舞楽の鳳凰をかたどった兜に似た花をたくさん咲かせます。園芸用に販売されていますが、暖地での栽培は、夏の暑さで難しそうです。 中国語では「烏頭（wu tou）」と呼ばれます。 |

キンポウゲ科トリカブト属の多年草で、学名は Aconitum carmichaelii (syn. Aconitum fauriei、Aconitum chinense)。英名はありません。 |

The "Hana-tori-kabuto" (Aconitum carmichaelii) belongs to Ranunculaceae (the Buttercup family). It is a perennial herb that is native to China. It was introduced into Japan as a herbal medicine. This herb prefers a cool environment. It is smaller than the wild acotites. The helmet-shaped flowers bloom in fall. (edit by Greg Brockelbank) In Chinese, it is called "烏頭" (wu tou). |
