シンビフォルミス種（Haworthia cymbiformis）とレツーサ種（Haworthia retusa）との園芸交雑種だといわれています。肉厚の軟葉種で、ロゼットの直径は１０センチほどになります。葉の先端には、透明の窓があります。園芸上は「たからぐさ（宝草）」と呼ばれます。

ユリ科ハオルチア属の常緑多年草で、学名は Haworthia x cuspidata。英名は Star window plant。

The Star window plant (Haworthia x cuspidata) belongs to Liliaceae (the Lily family). It is an evergreen perennial herb that is believed to be a horticultural hybrid between Haworthia cymbiformis and Haworthia retusa. It is a thick-fleshed, soft-leaved species with rosettes up to 10 cm in diameter. The tips of the leaves have transparent windows. Horticulturally, it is called "Takara-gusa" (treasure grass) in Japan.
