ヘーベ属は、ニュージーランドやオーストラリア、南アメリカに１４０種ほどありますが、そのほとんどがニュージーランドに分布しています。これは南島に分布するオクラケア種（Hebe ochracea）の園芸品種で、１９７３年にグラハム・ハッチンス（Graham Hutchins）によって作出されました。高さは６０センチほどになります。葉は小さな鱗片状で茎の稜に密着し、全体が鞭紐のように見えます。初夏から夏にかけて、茎の先に白い花の群を咲かせます。 |

ゴマノハグサ科ヘーベ属の常緑小低木で、学名は Hebe cv. Greensleeves。英名はありません。 |

The Hebe 'Greensleeves' belongs to Scrophulariaceae (the Figwort family). The genus Hebe has about 140 species, most of which are found in New Zealand, Australia, and South America. This is a garden variety of the South Island species Hebe ochracea, created by Graham Hutchins in 1973. It is about 60 cm tall. The leaves are small, scale-like, and closely attached to the stem ridges, giving the whole plant a whipstring-like appearance. Clusters of white flowers bloom at the ends of the stems from early summer to summer. |
