ヘーベ・スペキオサ [Index] [Back] ニュージーランドに分布しています。海岸沿いの崖や岬などに生え、高さは１〜２メートルになります。葉は濃い緑色で光沢があり卵形、かなり厚いです。一年中、円錐花序に淡いピンク色から明るい赤紫色の花を咲かせます。雄しべは２個、非常に長く、個々の花の咽部から突き出します。果実は�刮ﾊで、平たく滑らかな種子が入っています。  ゴマノハグサ科ヘーベ属の常緑低木で、学名は Hebe speciosa (syn. Veronica speciosa)。英名は Showy hebe、New Zealand hebe。  The showy hebe (Hebe speciosa) belongs to Scrophulariaceae (the Figwort family). It is a small evergreen tree That is native to New Zealand. This tree grows on coastal cliffs and headlands, and it can reach about 1-2 m in height. The leaves are dark green, shiny, ovate, and quite thick. The pale pink to bright magenta flowers bloom in the spikes throughout the year. The stamens are two, very long, and protrude from the throat of each flower.
