ヘリオトロピウム・ポリフィルム [Index] [Back] アメリカのフロリダ州それにバハマ諸島の北部に分布しています。松林や大平原、海岸沿いのやぶなどに生え、高さは８〜１５センチになります。葉は披針形から卵形でたいへん小さく、先端が尖ります。葉の表面は剛毛に被われています。花は小さく、白色から黄色で真ん中が黄色、ほとんど一年中咲いています。南フロリダの東海岸ではその花は黄色、西海岸ではその花は白色です。  ムラサキ科キダチルリソウ属の一年草または多年草で、学名は Heliotropium polyphyllum。英名は Pineland heliotrope。  The pineland heliotrope (Heliotropium polyphyllum) belongs to Boraginaceae (the Borage family). It is an annual or perennial herb that is native to Florida in the United States and the northern Bahamas. This herb grows in pinelands, prairies and coastal thickets, and can reach 8-15 cm in height. The leaves are lanceolate to ovate, vary small with acute tips. The leaf surface is covered with bristle hairs. The flowers are small, white or yellow with yellow centers, and they bloom around the year.
