わが国の本州から四国、九州それに朝鮮半島に分布しています。山地の湿った林床や谷沿いの岩場に群生し、高さは３０〜５０センチになります。名前は、葉が革質で厚くヘラ状をしていることから。

イワデンダ科ヘラシダ属の常緑シダ類で、学名は Diplazium subsinuatum。英名はありません。
|

|
"Hera-shida" (Diplazium subsinuatum) belongs to the Woodsiaceae family. It is an evergreen fern that is distributed from Honshu to Shikoku and Kyushu of Japan, as well as the Korean peninsula. This fern grows on wet forest floor in the mountains and rocks along the valley, and the height is 30-50 cm. The Japanese name is because the leaves are leathery and thick and have a spatula shape.
