ブラジルが原産です。半蔓性でよじ登る傾向があり、高さは１．２〜１．５メートルになります。長楕円形の葉は、渦巻き状につきます。花は濃い黄色のトランペット形で、花弁の内側に淡い赤褐色の縞があります。「ハリセンボン」のような奇妙な果実をつけます。

キョウチクトウ科アリアケカズラ属の常緑小低木で、学名は Allamanda neriifolia。英名は Bush allamanda。

The Bush allamanda (Allamanda neriifolia) belongs to Apocynaceae (the Dogbane family). It is an evergreen shrub or semi-vine that is native to Brazil. This shrub can reach 1.2-1.5 m in height. Laeves are elliptic, and in whorls. Flowers are deep yellow, trumpet shaped, and have pale reddish brown stripes inside. Fruits are capsules, globose with long spines. They look like porcupinefish.
