The White rosemallow (Hibiscus arnottianus) belongs to Malvaceae (the Mallow family). It is a small evergreen tree that is found on the islands of Oahu and Molokai, Hawaii in the United States. It is usually a small tree to shrub, but rarely grows up to 12 m tall. The leaves are glossy, narrow to broadly heart-shaped, and have pubescent hairs when young. The flowers are white, five-petaled, and rarely reddish. The long, red flower style is conspicuous. The specific epithet is named for George Walker-Arnott (1799-1868), a Scottish botanist.
