熱帯アフリカからアフリカ南部、マダガスカルにかけて広く分布しています。高さは１〜３メートルになり、鮮やかなサルファーイエローの花と、茶色がかった栗色の基部との対照が鮮やかです。 |

アオイ科フヨウ属の多年草で、学名は Hibiscus calyphyllus。英名は Lemonyellow rosemallow。 |

|
The Lemonyellow rosemallow (Hibiscus calyphyllus) belongs to Malvaceae (the Mallow family). It is a perennial herb that is widely distributed from tropical Africa to southern Africa and Madagascar. It grows 1 to 3 m tall, with bright sulphur yellow flowers contrasting vividly with the brownish chestnut base. |
